This time we’re talking with Demogorgon – The demon Prince of Chaos!

Before now I used Flash for the D&D 4th Edition shorts but this time I used ToonBoom Animate Pro, which I think I’ll be sticking with for future episodes.

Some of us just prefer Neverwinter Nights to World of Warcraft. I’m such a fan of Adam Phillips’ work I almost feel honored that he took the time to read and delete my comment. Don’t think for a second that I don’t respect 4e. From a game designer’s standpoint, it’s an ingenious system that could port perfectly to a computer game setting, but that’s the problem. I play D&D because it flows and plays differently than a computer game. Personally I think the problem with 3.5 was the optimizers

I’d argue, though, …
I’d argue, though, that even if some people think it’s oversimplified or too easy or too much like an MMO, there’s a market for that — people who would rather have fun using their imagination with friends than do a bunch of calculations. It wasn’t a complete failure like New Coke.
And, if you go by the technical side, it’s still called D&D and still made by the same company. Saying it’s not D&D is like saying New Coke wasn’t made by The Coca-Cola Company.

Let me remind those who think 4th edition is D&D. It’s D&D in the same sense that “New Coke” was Coca Cola. Totally new and allegedly improved, but hated amongst a large portion of the community that is used to the original formula.
