Hello, can somebody tell me where I can find free pictures for commercial use?
(not one of those websites where you have to pay to use photos for commercial use)

Easy, you go out and take them yourself.

Our teacher assigned us a project about musical instruments. She asked us to get free pictures of guitars, drums, pianos, etc.

My problem is – I don’t seem to know where I can get really free pictures. A lot of the websites out there are for pay.

Wikimedia Commons is your best bet. Here: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Main_Page

It’s an archive of images that are on the Internet under various Creative Commons licenses. Which means you can use the images, and sometimes even edit them, provided that you credit where the original came from. Each image will have its own requirements on the page.

Images you find from Google images belong to someone, and 99% of the time you’ll be infringing on the owner’s copyright if you use it without permission.

fanmail.biz has a bajillion celebrity addresses and also it has results from people who contacted the celebrity, so you can get an idea of what celebrities actually respond to fan mail.

Alot of times it looks like whenever a celeb is in a newpaper or on yahoo they use the worst photo they can find, of them making a face or somthing. Just wondring why that is…

Probably because they have a camera shoved in their faces 200 times daily, and not each picture can be picture-perfect. Imagine walking around, having a picture snapped of you each second you breathe. Annoying ‘razzis.

i need to get some celebrity pictures that are quite similar to each other to make blends for my piczo website, does anyone know any website that i could get them from?

just google a certain person’s name with the word photoshoot, magazine, ad, promo, etc. at the end of it.

for example:

Ok so as a joke I wanna create a photoshopped picture. it’s going to include celebrity names and pictures and like things they would say. but I’m not going to make profit off of it nor am i going to post it on the internet where it’s open to everyone in the world. I just wanna upload it to my social networking site. like Facebook or Myspace or places like that where only my firends can see it. so is that legal or illegal?

try tmx or look at the archives in yahoo they havve lots of celebrity photographs

On Facebook, there are like a ton of pictures of celebrities and they have funny edits & captions. Does anyone know where you can find those? Lol specifically ones of Jonas brothers, Miley Cyrus, and Justin Bieber.. haha thanks
