To create/change a Yahoo cartoon avatar go here:
http://avatars.yahoo.com/

Then go to: http://answers.yahoo.com/my/my_edit , click "use my yahoo avatar" -> scroll down -> click "preview" and then "ok".

For all other picture avatars:

http://profiles.yahoo.com/ – go here to create a profile -> click "change photo" -> click "add photo" -> select the picture you want from your harddrive -> click "save". Now click "use selected photo", done.

Note: the pic has to be a .jpg or .png file, it must be smaller than 5 MB, and it also has to be square. And you should also keep your Pulse profile public, otherwise a personalized avatar won’t show.

it’s to 1) fight against child abuse, and to 2) show support for those people, such as those involved in charities or organisations, who are trying to protest and fight against child abuse.

It is to show your respect for these people, and to show that you feel it is wrong for child abuse to exist in the world.

So, until Monday 6th December 2010, it is said that there should be no human faces on facebook, but all profile pictures must be cartoon characters. (To remember your childhood).

Some people say that it is pointless, as it cannot actually do anything,
but in my opinion it does do something; it shows moral and emotional support for those supporting the fight against child abuse. It shows that we as a society believe that child abuse is wrong, and it reminds us of our own childhoods. Whether these were bad or good childhoods, it can help us see that child abuse is wrong. (Those with bad childhoods may want to make sure that history is not repeated for other people, and those with good chidhoods will want to make sure that other children have the same kind of childhood).

So please change your profile picture to show your support and beliefs!

Change your Facebook profile picture to a cartoon from your childhood & invite your friends to do the same til Monday (12.06.10). There should be no human faces on Facebook, but an invasion of memories! This is for violence against children.

(This has been going around, ur supposed to post it then change ur pic)

It was mainly to support child abuse, but it was a fraud according to the news, apparently pedofiles on facebook started it. so I suggest that you shouldn’t really do it.
