    100% agree w/ u…. …
100% agree w/ u….this is causing many women to become self-conscious about their body…….this can and does many times cause depression which can lead to worse things….something must be done <,<…..Beauty takes many forms…not just this dammit

    Nobody forces …
Nobody forces anyone to purchase the magazines, but these touched up images and misconceptions of ‘beauty’ are saturating our society to the point where you don’t need to purchase the magazines in order to be influenced by the images. They are on billboards, posters, tv ads, internet ads, etc. The fact that these touched up images and misconceptions of beauty are saturating society to such an extent that almost every woman is under the influence means that something has to be done about it.

    why is …
why is photoshopping any worse than makeup?

  8. Lorenzzinni Says:

    Don´t ban …
Don´t ban retouching. Cheat me with those beautiful bodys. I like it.

  9. ADONISindeed Says:

    Nobody forces …
Nobody forces anyone to purchase the magazines which include “touched up” celebrities. If people chose to not purchase mags full of doctored pics, than we would probably see alot less of them. A ban is ultimately unecessary and silly, although I personally do not support the cartoonish covergirls, I do not support arbitrary bans either.

    i do think that …
i do think that this should be banned. in the turn of the century, it was said by the surgeon general that obesity has become a full fledged pandemic. in 2005, the percentage of people over 20 that were overweight or obese was 67% and kids 12-18, 18%. what does that tell us? that even though the masses are overweight, only the slim are noticed and seen as role models somehow. they strive for what they cannot attain, then get driven to obesity when they fail and fall into depression…

    you know every foto …
you know every foto is photoshopped on every magazine. and if u wanna be photo model you just make osme nice fotos with you camara. and start learning foto shop. for instance GIMP its free to use and to download

  12. wilkoman3 Says:

    I know plenty of …
I know plenty of people who are stunned when I tell them that many pictures, especially model pictures are doctored. It gives many a false impression of what people look like, a look that’s impossible to obtain in most cases. No wonder we have a generation of mentally ill teens who slim themselves to death and wear a foot thick layer of make up just to feel normal and in some cases even undergo plastic surgery. I don’t think Photoshop is bad it’s just a tool, how you use it is good or bad.

    I agree, she looked …
I agree, she looked fine before, she didn’t need to be photoshopped

  15. Xuvial Says:

    As someone earlier …
As someone earlier said, the featured model definitely doesn’t need any photoshop.
In today’s world yeah, every image has to be altered.
But if the model in that video feels she needs to lose any weight at all, she’s already been deeply influenced by the “un-attainable” thing she’s seen in magazines.
Models should NOT be stick-thin. The above model is more or less PERFECT in terms of body shape and fat ratio.
