Pictures

I have noticed recently that just because someone’s profile is private, doesn’t mean their profile pictures are. Are there any settings to change this?

Your cannot make your profile pic private on Facebook – this is as Dec 15th 2009.

In fact there is a set of information that will always be public and cannot be made private.

Enough content, on you so anyone can create a page about you that contains your name, profile picture, gender, current city, networks, friend list, and Pages.

People don’t like this and have created protests against it to express to Facebook
their dislike. One group that is very good at explaining what is happening is
the one called "The New Facebook is an Invasion of Privacy! Learn, Protect and Protest!"

When I am in Yahoo Answers and go into a different category, at times, my old avatar pictures come up on my profile can someone explain this?

It’s a glitch in the system. I’m here with two different names, two different backgrounds and two different Avatars.

I’ve reported it but so far nothing is the way it should be. I’ve learned to just shrug my shoulders about it and move on.

I’m looking thru my friends pictures and she has one that Iwould like to use for my profile picture. How can I do that?

if you are in it tag yourself then it can be your pic, or else save it to your computer then upload it, Hope this helped just make sure the pic is of you or else a lot of people will be making weird comments on your pic

Ive seen it done on some peoples profiles and i was wandering if anyone knew how to put selected peoples profile links (the picture you see in top friends) seperatly.

I’m not talking about like when I’m in someones friends list, I see text underneath my picture… NOT that.

I mean when I’m in my profile, on the left, underneath my profile picture, I want to put stuff under there… How do I do that?

I took everything out of my profile already. (music player, details, contact info, etc.)

I’m wondering how I put my own things there.

But you said how to add words or PICTURES. Hmm, well if it’s words then what I do is create a picture of words with the program paint.

I just go to paint and choose to type. I pick the font size, blah blah. And type whatever and then save it. So it’s a picture but words as well.

save the image you have on photobucket to your desktop on your computer. then upload the image to facebook and set it as your profile pic

When I go to some people’s pages and try and click on their profile picture, and i’m not friends with them, it won’t show me any photos since they set their settings to something. Yet others I can see their photos, tag photos, sometimes even wall. How do i make it so mine is where you can’t see/view all my profile pictures or tagged photos?

From your Home page, (and if it’s the new Facebook layout, go to Account Settings then:) go to Privacy Settings. From there you go to Profile Information, and right there you can change on who sees everything from "About Me" to "Comment on Posts", and you can see "Photos and Videos of Me" and "Photo Albums". You can also change it from the albums themselves. Okay I’m done.

I see a few people on Facebook who have animated profile pictures. One on my friends had a cartoon picture of Robin, the Boy Wonder, and another friend of mine had a picture of some girl from a Japanese anime. I wanted to use a picture of Iron Man that I saw. How are they doing this, because I only know how to upload my own pics. Thank you

An animated picture is a .gif picture. Find one, then upload it.
