I would like to make some websites for my business, Does anyone know where I can legally download free pictures. I know of flickr but I don’t know if i can download for free???????

If you want to use the photos for non-commercial use then you can use CC (Creative Commons licenced) photos from Flickr without any problems.

When you search, click on "advanced" and select only CC licenced images.

Here’s the key: What you REALLY want are called "Stock Photos" and must also be ‘royalty-free’, so, just do a Google search for:

Just keep in mind that when you post them to your website, the originating site often wants you to give them their due credit. So, read the fine print before you decide on your favourite sources.

My class are doing some work on India and I’d like some decent pictures or posters. Those printed from the net are never clear enough!

Try the tourist board, they may well be able to help.

Alternatively, if you have any travel agents nearby you could try them, or tour operators.

Prices for quality stock photos have never been cheaper than now, however, if you are on a limited budget there are quite a few places you can get free photos. Some have restrictions on their use, be sure you read and understand the requirements for using any photos from these sites. Here are a few sites that come to mind:

i have verizon & the env touch. i don’t think that really affects anything , but i want to know a website. where i can send myself free pictures. some of the websites i saw you have to pay $9.99. i have unlimited texting, so that part doesn’t matter. anyone know any good websites?
