I want to print colour Explorer Stars for putting up on the wall at my daughters birthday party. I found some great explorer star pictures on Nick Jr website but they are not coloured in and I dont want to colour them by hand. Anyone know where I can find fully coloured pictures of all the explorer stars that I can print?

Any good free programs for colouring pictures I’ve drawn?

Posted on March 6th, 2010 by admin in coloring pictures | 3 Comments »

Hi,
I have searched nearly EVERYWHERE trying to find a good (and free!) program for coloring in anime that I’ve drawn and scanned onto my computer. I’m very proud of my pictures but they really do need some colour… PLEASE HELP!

I have heard wonderful things about Inkscape, and its free. Personally I prefer Illustrator, but there is no free version except the 30-day trial through adobe.com.

Where can I find free printable adult coloring pages? Like artistic, interesting pictures to color?

Check out Dover’s coloring books. They have some pretty cool stuff, like stained glass designs, geometric designs, and op art. One I particulary like is the Medieval tapestries coloring book.

What’s a good digital art system for coloring, editing, etc?

Posted on February 4th, 2010 by admin in coloring pictures | 2 Comments »

I’ve always done all my coloring and such by hand but I was wondering if there’s a simple program to edit and color pictures scanned onto the computer. I own a Mac btw.

Thanks in advance.

GIMP is a free program like Photoshop, something to look into. :)

hair coloring…pictures?

I have long brown hair with some old blond highlights barely left. I am thinking about dying my hair with blonde highlights on top and black underlight on the bottom underneath…i can’t find any pictures on the web but I know this is a famous edgy style. I want to bring the pic to the guy who will color my hair….can u find any?
Brown hair.
With blonde highlgihts
and black underlights (underneath in back)

I have long harir past my chest

the hairstyle your describing is an old look and personally i dont think its that classy and by your picture you look really pretty with your hair like that. maybe just get a haircut and add some blonde or dark brown tones to your hair. it would look great.

Besides coloring, how else can you use crayons to make pictures?

Wanting to know as many techniques as possible.

Boy! This is one of my favorite things to do…but then I have patience…

Gather up all the broken crayons you can…separate by colors..(for ease and speed of working with them).

Candles, matches, candle holder.

On wood, heavy cardboard, or heavy art paper (small or large):
Draw in pencil a picture like of a still life of fruit of of a house or barn and a field or flowers or modern art… what ever you like…what ever your skill level is.

Light a candle and set it near you working surface. Take a crayon, touch it near the flame (you don’t want it to turn black) until a drip is about to fall…….. now…put it to the surface you are "painting" and get the drops to fall where you need them…and you can create "brush stroke" type effects by touching the wax down…..

I have made many of these… I have one that is 45 years old! My father had it framed.

So don’t throw out those crayon pieces!

what is a good camera that takes both colored and black and white pictures..digital?

Posted on December 30th, 2009 by admin in coloring pictures | 3 Comments »

i would really like a camera for Christmas..one that is digital and takes both black and white pictures and colored pictures. my mom told me my budget this year for myself is 200 dollars so it can’t be more than that.

thanks

I got a Canon from Best Buy and love it, was only $120 and the pictures are great. This was the camera they suggested as it does everything the more expensive ones does.
