hi i just made an deviantart account and i need to know what is a great and at the same time free program you can use to edit clear and color scanned pictures.. ps. is it worth getting a subscription on a deviantart?

where can i make color splash pictures for free and with out downloading it from like a website if i can?

Here are the instructions with picnik…

- first, make your account and sign in
- upload your picture
- go to the create tab> Effects
- select "black and white"
- you should now see your picture go black and white, but do not press the apply button yet
- using the brush tool (click the brush icon) paint over the areas you want in colours, leaving the rest black and white.
- there you go! Save your image and you’re done.

I’m trying to have an empty wall in the 2nd floor in my house filled with frames with photos….but I can’t decide whether having color or b&w.
Is it ok black and white even if it’s all family related pictures? (my husband, my son and myself)

black and white would look more classic. and artsy.

and yes its okay. actually it would make them look great very elegant.

i have seen people in pictures that their eyes are like an exotic color and i think they use a website to do it but i am not sure. if anyone knows how to do that please tell me because you will help a lot.

download gimp then select the area you want to color.
then do this: color>colorize and just choose.

How do you make splashes of color in black and white pictures. I don’t have any high-tech photoshop software or anything though. I have access to sany free sites on the internet, but that’s it. And i’m kinda not a very technical person so try to make as not-complicated as possible. Thanksss =)
