How do you make cartoon pictures…like of yourself?

Posted on March 6th, 2010 by admin in cartoon pictures | 1 Comment »

I want to make a cartoon picture of me…do i have to download some special tool or what??!!??

Is not necessary: all you need to do is take paper and pencil, once you have done the pencil, ink it and erase the pencil lines. Then scan that image, you must clean that image from dots or remaining of the pencil line.

Now you can add color and a background if you want: for this process I recomend to you to work with Adobe Photoshop, even you can make a vector work with Adobe Illustrator, Free Hand or Corel Draw to obtain better results, even you can add the color on the vector job.

but if you are looking for a fast cartoon of yours, scan or copy a photo of yours into your computer, take Corel Draw and choose the option "Vectorize" and choose the option "detailed logo" or "clip art": this make a kind of cartoon of yours.

I strongly recommend to make the cartoon by yourself!

Is it haram to draw pictures of cartoon characters and animals?

Posted on February 26th, 2010 by admin in cartoon pictures | 9 Comments »

I mean cartoon characters and not real life people like ourselves plus suppose it’s not for animations and just a display, is it still haram? Please I need a real explanation, thanks.

Generally, yes it is haram. Of course there are exceptions, such as pictures to train a surgeon and so on.

Below is a link to a variety of related questions on this subject at Islam Q&A.

Why are the cartoon pictures called avatars?

Posted on February 24th, 2010 by admin in cartoon pictures | 5 Comments »

I thought that an avatar was a supreme or God that has been incarnated to earth.

The traditional definition of avatar reads as follows:

NOUN:
1. The incarnation of a Hindu deity, especially Vishnu, in human or animal form.
2. An embodiment, as of a quality or concept; an archetype: the very avatar of cunning.

So an avatar on line is interpreted as being an embodiment of an actual person, like the classical definition of an avatar is an embodiment of a god or a concept.

How do you get those cartoon pictures of yourself for the profile?

Posted on February 20th, 2010 by admin in cartoon pictures | 3 Comments »

For a cartoon avatar, create it here:http://avatar.yahoo.com and remember to SAVE it. There are thousands of choices of faces, hair, clothing, backgrounds.Select the picture (avatar), Click ‘use picture’, then Save and Exit. There are many choices to be made, but remember to save your final choice.

For a custom avatar, including pictures or others start here: http://profile.yahoo.com
… Download JPG image(s) and save to your computer
… Select the image you want to use, using Browse for files/.
Yahoo has set tight restrictions on the size of files allowed, both in pixels and dimensions, so you may have to re-size any images (.jpg files) before they are allowed. Your first attempt will show you the limits. (Be certain any photo is brightly lit, and a close-up.)

Return to the Yahoo Answers site: http://answers.yahoo.com
To activate this avatar on YA site: left click, in order:
… your current avatar or YA name
… ‘Edit My Info’ next to your avatar.
… browse and select which avatar you want to use.
… ‘Preview’ (bottom),
… then OK.
OR for Messenger:
… your current avatar or name
… select ‘Share my Picture’’ next to your avatar.
… click the suggested pictures box
… browse your files
… highlight and open the file
… then OK.

P.S.: Mine shows up in the main Messenger program, because I used Messenger tab > My Display Image > Share My Avatar. You could also use a picture here.
